To dare to live alone is the rarest courage; since there are many who had rather meet their bitterest enemy in the field, than their own hearts in their closet.
Funny how things change, how people change and i am just left wondering where all the familiar faces, pretty smiles and laughs that i was really fond of dis-appeared to.Whatever happened to friends forever?whatever happened to true love but most importantly whatever happened to friendship? Did we all grow up too soon? or did we just get too ambitious, entangled ourselves in the chase for success, wealth and fame that we forgot how to love genuinely?or did we all just catch an 'Ego Flu'? where all of us got so much pride that we'd rather loose friendships instead of just apologizing when we do wrong,or did we all just become self sufficient where we felt that we enough only for ourselves, got that feeling of i don't need no one else to get by?....Truth be told,i miss those days when life was warm and friendly, when no one thought of only themselves, when friendships were true and golden. Now all we do is hide behind fake smiles and hellos, embrace each other with cold hugs and betrayal kisses like that of Judas.....It has reached a point where I'd rather be alone, all by myself,to myself and for my self,at least i know I'm real,at least i know i cant stab myself on the back,at least i know i cant gossip or talk trash about myself,at least i know i can depend on myself,at least i know i can always count on myself. They say 'better safe than sorry',i must admit i learned that the hard way.I have always been a happy person, full of cheer and love...i love laughing and talking,i can do that all night and not get tired,i loved all of this when they were and not blemished.i loved them when they did not seem like so much of a task....but now,I'd rather just be alone...switch off my phone, sit on the couch with a good series or movie or a good book and just for that moment forget how cold this world and the people in it are...by myself and my thoughts!!This for me,is BLISS....never thought I'd ever love being alone, but for now and until further notice, maybe till when i learn how to trust and care again or when i also learn this new life tactics that some people have perfected.....then i can open up again......It ain't all that bad though,i can still give a plastic smile,a cold kiss and a fake embrace!!!!!
The whole conviction of my life now rests upon the belief that loneliness, far from being a rare and curious phenomenon, peculiar to myself and to a few other solitary men, is the central and inevitable fact of human existence.
