Food for Thought

This is a story i read way back....i love sharing it because i felt like the person telling it was talking to me...over the years it has helped me a great deal in learning how to deal with different people, how to appreciate them and most importantly how to look for good in them that is beyond their outward appearance. Now everywhere i go, i see a world full of beautiful people with beautiful souls and pretty smiles. Its no wonder i smile so often!!!

                   love,
                       Nyambura.

A man was exploring caves by the seashore. He found a canvas bag with a bunch of hardened clay balls. They did not look like much, but they intrigued him,so he took the bag with him.As he stroled along ,he would throw the balls into the ocean one at a time as far as he could. He thought little about it untill he drop one on a rock and it craked open, inside was a beautiful, precious stone!Excited,he started to open the few remaining clay balls. Each contained a similar treasure. Then it struck him,he had been at the beach for a long time,he had thrown away so much of this priceless n precious treasures!

Its like this with most of us,we look at someone, mayb even ourselves, and we see the external clay vessel.it does not look like much from the outside. Its not always beautiful or sparklin,so we discount it.They seem less important, compared with more wealthier or beautiful or stylish people. We forget to take time to find the treasures that are hidden deep within them. But if take time and ask God to show us that person the way he sees them, the clay starts to peel away and the brilliant gem begins to shine fourth....

May we not come to the end of our lives and find out that we've thrown away fortunes in friendships because the gems were hidden in bits of clay!

I am so blessed because of all my frends;y'all my precious, priceless n beautiful GEMS!!!
